Holiday Shipping
With Christmas so quickly approaching we know there may be concerns as to whether or not your order will arrive in time for Christmas gift-giving. Here is some general information about our Free Shipping Service and when you may expect your package.
Shipping Questions
Q. What does Free Shipping mean and how long does it take?
A. All orders $9.95 and up include Free Shipping and will ship via First Class Mail at no charge to all US states including Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, US Virgin Isands and Guam. The USPS claims that First Class Mail arrives in 2-5 business days, however, this is not guaranteed. We all may have experienced, at one time or another, the occasional First Class item taking longer than 5 days. We've had packages going to the next state that have taken 9 days for no apparent reason!
We can not guarantee that whatever we send via First Class will arrive in 5 business days or less. We are located in Florida, so the closer you are to Florida the sooner you should get your package. Weather can affect delivery times, so if there are storms between Florida and your address your package can (and most likely will) be delayed. Ordering early is the best way to ensure your package will arrive in time for Christmas!
Q. What about Priority and Express Mail options?
A. You will be offered the options of Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express at checkout. Priority mail typically takes between 2-3 days but this is NOT guaranteed! I recently had a priority shipment take 5 days for no apparent reason. We have no control over it, we are at the mercy of the USPS! Again, weather can play a role, but also shipping volume will play a part.
At this time of year it's always important to double check your shipping address when you place your order. An incorrect address will delay your package!
Priority Mail Express is guaranteed 1-2 days depending on your location. The guarantee means that the shipping price is refunded if the package doesn't arrive in the specified # of days. You may still have a disappointed person if the package doesn't get there on time - weather can play a role in delivery times and even Express Mail can be delayed if there is a big storm!
Q. Tracking shows my order was delivered but I didn't get it? What do I do now?
A. Talk to your mail carrier or post office immediately - once tracking shows a package has been delivered we can't get any information about it on our end. Usually talking with your mail carrier is the best way to find your package but the sooner you do this the better. If you can't speak to your mail carrier please call your local post office immediately. They may be able to help you. Since anything can happen to your package when it's sitting outside your home we can't do anything about situations like this. We do offer signature confirmation and we highly suggest for apartment dwellers, people who have ever had packages "disappear", people who live on high traffic streets and for large orders. It is very reasonable so please consider it. Thank you for understanding our position on this.
Q. I don't live in the US How long does it take to ship to my country?
A. It varies depending upon the country - and customs offices - and volume. Customs offices can get backed up - and so can your country's post office. The guideline for Priority International is 6-10 days, Express International is 3-5 days, but these are not guaranteed, they're only timeframes. A lot can happen between the US and your country, and, as the holidays get closer customs offices and post offices can get backed up. We do not ever guarantee delivery before a certain date, and if you return your package due to delays your shipping cost will not be refunded. As always, please shop early for the best chance to get your order before the holidays.
Q. I have a Fed-Ex Account - will you ship my package Fed Ex and bill it to my account?
A. Yes! Please choose our free shipping option at checkout and then contact us (727-504-3826) with your Fed Ex account number, or use our special instructions box to enter your account #. Also please specify which service you'd like (overnight, ground, etc.) using our special instructions box.
Q. Will Express Mail get my package to me the next day?
A. Not always, it depends on your zip-code, but overnight is not guaranteed overnight - it's 1-2 day service and a lot depends on what time I get your order, the earlier the better. Please call me if you're unsure. 727-504-3826
Q. I live in Ohio and I'm buying something for my mom in Alaska. Can you ship it to her directly?
A. Yes! We're happy to ship gifts directly to the recipient. We'll even be happy to include a note card in the package - let us know what wording you'd like on the card using our special instructions box.
Q. I need to buy gifts for 3 different people, can I order them on one order and have you ship them separately?
A. No, please place individual orders for each person you'd like us to ship to.
Q. When will my order ship?
A. If all the items in your order are in stock your order will ship within 48 hours (Friday and Saturday orders will ship on Monday and Sunday orders will ship on Tuesday).
Q. How will I know if my items are in stock?
A. Please see stock questions below.
Stock Questions
Q. If I'm able to order things from your website does that mean it's in stock for sure?
A. It's either in stock or on the way in and due to arrive here within 1 day. The only exception is when you order multiples of the same item and get a message that some of them are not in stock - see below.
Q. I want to place an order for 5 of the same item, but there was a message that said I've exceeded the amount that are in stock. Should I continue with the order?
A. YES. At this point in time if we don't have it and you need it by Christmas chances are good that we have more on the way or will be placing an order for more soon. Please make sure we have a valid e-mail address and phone # so we can contact you in case the item has been discontinued or won't get here on time to get it out for Christmas delivery. If we can't get ahold of you we will ship the quantity that is in stock on the next shipping day and refund the out of stock items.
Once December 15th arrives chances of getting items in on time will be greatly reduced, but please always feel free to give us a call at 727-504-3826 or e-mail us at jerilyn@pursebling.com if you need an immediate answer to any product/stock questions! Gift Wrapping questions
Q. I live in Maryland and I'm sending a gift to someone in another state, can you gift wrap it?
A. I'm sorry, we've discontinued gift wrapping. We're always happy to include a note card, just use our special instructions box to let us know the exact wording you'd like on the card. We usually try to put some tissue paper around small gifts as well but this depends on how busy we are so, it isn't guaranteed.
